Supervision for practitioners
Reflective practice: exploring the past to re-create the future
Supervision is the place where practitioners take their work in order to reflect on in and learn from it.
As a supervisor I can provide both support and gentle challenge to enable you to reflect productively. My
work with you will help you build up your confidence, improve your skills and knowledge, and increase your
self-awareness. Our work can be part of your Continued Professional Development plan.
I have been supervising since 1995, and took my diploma in Supervision with Cascade in 2001. I run 4-day
training seminars for supervisors, in the UK, Japan and Denmark. I also run workshops on creative supervision,
using play and visualisation techniques to gain insights.
Being supervised myself has changed my work enormously. It's fresher and more dynamic; and studying
supervision has changed my style of teaching it's more interactive and creative. For me, the root of
these changes has been reflective practice: exploring the past to redirect the future.
